Friends. Todavía me hace reír.
Estoy bastante orgullosa de que nunca I’m quite proud that I never gave in to peer pressure when I was a teenager. I had the strength not to follow the crowd.
The last time I cried was… watching The X Factor. My husband laughs at me and thinks it’s hilarious, but I get very emotional when I hear the contestants’ stories. And I think it’s lovely when you see people do well, too.
The first record I ever bought was… I Should Be So Lucky by Kylie Minogue. I was about 14, I think. I loved singing but I never went to drama school or had any formal training as a teenager. I remember going to a Kylie concert – I was a massive fan of hers and still am – and saying to my mum, “That’s what I want to do – be up there.” I was just mesmerised by the dancing and the whole stage production.
It’s not good for my image but I like… cheesy music. I’ve grown up listening to Barry Manilow, Barbra Streisand and Neil Diamond, and I still like that kind of stuff today.
My greatest weakness is… my girls, Amelie and Minnie – they just melt my heart. I think I’m pretty strict but both of them can get round me.
If I could pass any law I would…. make parking easier and free. I love driving, but then finding parking spaces and having to pay over the odds is a bit of a pain.
I drive…. a cute little Fiat 500. I’m a real car person. The Fiat’s got to go, actually – I love it but with two children it’s a bit too small to get everyone in.
The shop I can’t walk past is… Zara. I’m a real fan of high-street shopping, and Zara is really good at taking high fashion and making it affordable.
The most expensive thing I’ve ever splashed out on is… Apart from my house, probably my first car, a Mercedes SLK when I was 21 and S Club 7 were doing well.
My perfect Sunday is… with family, friends and food. I like a lie-in in the morning, then we’d go for a lovely brunch somewhere and to the park, or to see friends with their kids. Alternatively we’d invite a whole crowd of people to our house, then go out for dinner once the kids were in bed.
My favourite place in Britain is… the Cotswolds. We went there a couple of weekends ago and I just love the beautiful villages, the old buildings and the cream teas.
My last holiday was… on the Algarve in Portugal early last summer before I had Minnie. We stayed in a lovely hotel for 10 days, which had a brilliant kids’ club so Amelie was happy. We just hung out on the beach and went to some great restaurants. It was bliss.
I’m currently reading… How To Talk So Kids Will Listen and Listen So Kids Will Talk by Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish. Some of the things that I’ve put into practice have really worked.
